Opportunities to respond to what God has done in our lives
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."
-1 Peter 4:10
Every fourth Sunday, after experiencing 3 weeks of being spiritually fed ourselves, we pack up the crew and take youth group OUT. We use fourth Sundays as an opportunity to give back some of the joy, love and grace that we have received by serving our community in various ways.
Each summer our high schoolers have an opportunity to go on a week-long mission experience. Our group alternates each year between a domestic or an overseas mission trip. This year our group is going to Sumpango, Guatemala. We encourage our middle school students to attend our church-wide mission trip to Beverly, Kentucky with Red Bird Mission.
Each quarter, students will have the opportunity to come and help plan what we do. Usually students who have been in the ministry for a while and have benefitting from the experience come to give back, but anyone is welcome. These design teams will be held on the following days:
October 7 (1-4pm), January 12 (10-2),
April 12 (6-9pm) and July 9 (10-2pm)
Serve in the Ministry
For students and adults who are eager to serve God and would like to start through service to this ministry, we have all sorts of opportunities! From Sunday night greeting to behind the scenes tasks...there's a job for every person, time frame & spiritual walk.
All of our students benefit from fundraisers - they cover mission projects, cut down costs for trips and events, and help contribute to the fun things that we do. We have two major fundraisers a year & all students are encouraged to participate.
